My Story
I’ve always loved working with my hands. As a child, I spent hours drawing and colouring; later, I discovered painting — first walls and furniture, then pottery, where I developed a love for geometry, clean lines, and precision. I’ve always found satisfaction in the slow, careful process of making something by hand.
Then life happened — a full-time job, children, and no time for creative pursuits. Now that my kids are grown, I’ve been able to return to that creative rhythm, but through a new medium: furniture. What used to be vases and pottery has simply shifted to cabinets and pieces with more structure and space for design.
At Nera Upcycles, the idea is simple: good furniture doesn’t need to be replaced. What began as a personal creative outlet has grown into a small, design-led studio where each item is repaired, refinished, or reimagined with care. I focus on materials, texture, and balanced lines — using what already exists instead of starting again. It’s an approach that fits today’s mindset as well: reuse, renew, and bring lasting value to pieces already in the world.
