This was a labour of love — a piece that began as a weary 1930s dresser and became a statement of modern craftsmanship wrapped in vintage grace. The walnut and walnut burl veneers were carefully stripped and refinished to reveal their warm, organic patterns.
The sides are painted in Fusion Mineral Paint “Wellington,” a deep, urbane tone that anchors the piece. Fine gold lines trace its silhouette and accentuate the sculptural rhythm of the drawers, echoing the quiet confidence of early Art Deco design. Inside, drawers lined with delicate floral wallpaper offer a gentle surprise — a nod to the old-world charm hidden beneath modern precision.
Protected with shellac and sealed with a layer of polyurethane, it is as practical as it is beautiful. The brass handles were restored to their original shine.
