Auping Nightstand Turned Bar Cabinet – Art Deco Meets Midcentury Modern

Vintage Auping nightstand, fully upcycled into a compact home bar. Built from solid MDF with its original PVC sliding door, this piece has been repainted in Flexa “Rabarber”, a deep rhubarb red with just a hint of warmth. The sliding door now features vertical stripes in shades of rhubarb and black, giving it a simple but striking look. The stripes were painted by hand to create a bit of depth and movement, while a fine gold accent ties everything together. It’s a small piece with a lot of personality — subtle, but with enough edge to make it stand out. Use it as a mini bar, bedside table, or small console — it works anywhere you want a bit of colour and shape. Finished with satin Polyvine varnish for everyday durability.
