Canal Green Dresser

Canal Green Dresser

Once part of a 1950s–60s German bedroom suite, this dresser has been brought back to life through hours of stripping, sanding, and finishing.

The walnut veneer fronts were fully restored to showcase their rich, organic grain, while the top and sides were refinished in Grachtengroen — a deep green inspired by the iconic canal doors and window frames of Amsterdam.

Fine silver lines trace the dresser’s geometric form, giving it structure and quiet glamour. The original vintage hardware, in brushed chrome and soft brass tones, was meticulously cleaned and preserved — sculptural little jewels of the Atomic Age.

Its detachable mirror completes the composition — whether displayed with or without it, this piece reflects both craftsmanship and place — a love letter to mid-century Europe, retold in modern Amsterdam.
